The bold, illustrative branding we created for Foothills Brewing conveys the distinct character of each brew and captures the atmosphere of their brand.

From the vibrant, and wide-ranging color palette to the imagery of the raccoon-eyed pirate, we find ourselves completely intoxicated and cursing like sailors at this series of nautical themed labels for Coast Brewing Company. A plus side to the design is the circle-based images double easily as coasters, so’s your beer won’t sweat all over your booty barrel.

Minister is a private label of Ministry of Brewery – beer shop in Poznan, Poland. Product has arrived on the market in October 2011 in two variants, Minister Pils and Minister Wheat Beer. Ostecx Créative is responsible for packaging design and creation of promotional materials for newborn beer brand.

Cooperation within Ministry of Brewery and our agency has started in Summer 2011. After changing the logo and developing the website of the shop we have begun the works on the Minister beer packaging design and it’s communication. The common goal of the client and agency was to create unique and modern label inspired by European brewing culture and tradition.

Design of the packaging is based on the original drawing made by polish illustrator Kinga Offert-Ploszaj and Bradley Initials font. Two variants of the beer are distinguished by color code – Minister Pils comes in PANTONE Black C, Minister Wheat Beer is designed with PANTONE 311 C.

Thanks to positive reception of packaging design by potential consumers and small advertising campaign in points of sale and at Ministry of Brewery’s Facebook profile, premiere of the new brand has been successful. 1600 bottles, which was entire supply, was sold out in one week time.

Formed in 1938, the Beer Distributors of Oklahoma (BDO) is the state organization for licensed independent beer distributors in Oklahoma, the majority of which are family-owned and operated small businesses lead by second or third generation distributors.

When Steve Hindy and Tom Potter were creating Brooklyn Eagle Beer (as it was going to be called) they interviewed over 30 design firms. All along, the guy at the very top of their list was Milton Glaser. After calling every day for two weeks, Milton’s secretary finally let Steve talk to the designer. Going into the meeting, Steve said that he was looking for a logo “that every guy in Brooklyn would want tattooed.”

In 1987, two guys visited me with the intention of launching a new beer brewed in Brooklyn. Tom Potter, an investment banker, and Steve Hindy, a journalist, were passionate about the possibilities. They knew their history: At one point, Brooklyn had over 100 breweries, which had shrunk to none. Since then they’ve had incredible success, growing in productivity and reputation. Nice guys, great beer.

Milton talked them out of the “Eagle” and created a logo that really helped Tom and Steve move forward with fundraising.
