Not a lot has gone right for the Mets this season. But, earlier this summer Mikkeller announced they’d be opening a brewery in left field. So things are picking up.
This announcement followed the success of the two beers Mikkeller San Diego brewed for Citi Field, Henry Hops & Say Hey Sally. The 16oz. cans feature Mikkeller characters Henry and Sally portrayed as 1980s era baseball cards.
Mikkeller NYC will be a 10,000 square foot brewery and restaurant. It will include a canning line and 60 taps.
Going to baseball games is a tradition in American family life, that I have always loved. Families going out for a full day having hot dogs, sodas and beers is awesome, so working on bringing truly great beer to Citi Field’s high quality food selection has been awesome for us.

About the beers:
Henry Hops IPA
Bright aromatics boasting orange blossom honey, pine needles, and ripe mango. Wonderfully balanced biscuit and toasted notes pair with lightly resinous hop bitterness to leave a crisp finish.
Say Hey Sally Pilsner
Bursting with floral hops and a soft cracker-like malt structure, layers of sunflower and pineapple develop a delicate hop profile. With hints of earth and slate, a snappy finish awakens the palate with medium hop bitterness and a dry backbone.
