Bayou Teche

Bayou Teche Brewing

February 23, 2017 | Designed by TILT

You probably won’t find many breweries in towns as small as Arnaudville, LA (pop. 1,059) — and I’m willing to bet you won’t find another that chose an abandoned rail car to call home. But, that’s exactly where farmhouse brewer Bayou Teche is making some of the state’s most interesting beers.

They recently reworked recipes of several core beers and decided to extend this process to their packaging. Creating visuals engaging enough to for a brewery this unique is no small task, but they chose well with design firm TILT.

Each beer features its own swamp creature engaged in an epic battle in a style inspired by 40s/50s men’s adventure magazines and B-movie posters.

We wanted to honor the brand’s strong South Louisiana roots, but also have some fun with the work, which is true to the Bayou Teche team’s attitude and approach. Looking back to the graphic style of those genres really inspired us.

A lot has changed in beer culture since we started brewing. We’re doing big things with our beers, and we wanted to bring the same that same level of craft and creativity to how we offer our products in the market. The team at TILT really dug in and gave us something unique.

Bayou Teche is probably the most quintessential Cajun/Louisiana craft beer brand in existence. Across the board, their beers are fantastic. We wanted to support what they’re doing with branding work that’s equally engaging.
