Hershey, PA’s Tröegs Independent Brewing wasn’t planning on releasing another double IPA, but an experiment with Mosaic hops lead to a test batch, which lead to more test batches, which eventually lead to Nimble Giant. This colossus weighs in at 9% ABV and marks the first time the brewery has dry-hopped Mosaic and Simcoe. “We didn’t set out to release another double IPA,” co-founder and brewmaster John Trogner says. “But when we tasted this hop combination, we latched on and couldn’t let go.” It will be out in the wild for a very limited time. You can follow #findthegiant to track some down for yourself.
