In production since, 2012, Salisbury, N.C., brewery New Sarum needed something that was simple, classy and bold, and that kept many of the elements from their original logo. They wanted a cleaner look. Since the goal was to keep the elements from the original logo, we started out by redrawing the original with an updated, more modern feel.
After a branding revamp for the Salisbury, NC brewery, we moved onto packaging design. We discovered that bold colors make it easy to tell the different beers apart and also will help them stand out on a shelf, so we chose to use a different dominant color for each can. To further differentiate between the beers, we chose a different background illustration that we subtly incorporated into each of the cans.
