blatant rip off The Catcher in the Rye for the Catch 23 label. Maybe Guru should be asking Guru Design that.

That’s why the beer is called “CATCH” 23. It was meant to be an ode to the book graphic. Thanks for noticing.

Very nice work. Each label is as unique as the beer itself — yet the use of the company seal ties everything together. Very smart application of an endorsed identity system.

I agree with Mr Nuts… Right on the money. Oh, and cg, relax, have a homebrew.

That label is definitely a ripoff of Catcher in the Rye. I’ve also noticed that there are graphics of fermentation tanks. Those are ripoffs of actual things that exist. Oh and “Double IPA?” Clearly a ripoff of the term “Double IPA.”
p.s. these are awesome

And those aluminum cans are a ripoff of aluminum cans. Dammit!

Definitely interesting composition of the logo lockup at the bottom of the can, rather than the top per usual. Overall, some solid designs for each can; nice illustrations too!

The logo bores me a bit but it is very well done and I appreciate that they incorporate the logo into each can design rather than just sticking it over top. The cans are really nice; the first two are fantastic. I personally think the Catcher In The Rye reference was beautifully executed and an awesome tribute. It would only be a ripoff if they had used the actual imagery instead of just honoring the style.
Oh Beautiful Beer celebrates remarkable graphic design from the world of beer.
