For Quilmes’ 120th anniversary, Pierini Partners created a new bottle as well as three commemorative cans. Adrián Pierini, Creative Director of the agency talked about this project:
Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes is one of the most traditional and prestigious companies of the country. That is why the designs are meant to combine warmth and the emotional spirit of its people (expressed in an attractive chromatic palette and shapes inspired in the past) with the quality of its elaboration processes and the selection of the raw materials (represented through elegant shapes and classic compositions).
Regarding the periods of the different layouts, Pierini said:
Even though the three have a traditional aspect, we did not want to represent a specific time. The characters and the complementary resources, such as lines and typographies, were not meant to respect the exact moment in the history. On the contrary, we decide to mix them intentionally, as a symbol of union between the times which passed. The priority was, during the whole process, to express the different periods, synthesis of the festive spirit of these 120 years, in all the layouts. That, I’m sure, was successfully achieved.
