Love the dragonfly (big shocker, huh?)…any idea why it is called “Gossamer”?
According to the Wiki-P, Gossamer can refer to spider silk or a sheer, gauze-like fabric. Also there is a group of butterflies apparently known as Gossamers or Gossamer-winged butterflies. I’m guessing they had the fabric in mind which conjured the dragonfly? Or maybe not at all…

I really like Half Acre’s beer. I may be partial since I’m from Chicago, but we really do have some great beer brewed here.
This design has some great elements. I love the pattern in the background. Really that is the element that seals the deal for me. The dragonfly itself is a little too “live traced” for my taste, but really, who’d want to pen tool draw all that detail in the wings. I like that the banner from the Gossamer logo comes down to enclose the Half Acre logo. The color story palette is really nice. Something about the slightly different illustration styles makes a feel a little disjointed, but overall a nice design.
