Mountains in beer packaging are certainly sigh-inducing at this point. But kudos to Gerardot & Co. for pulling it off here. The muted colors and rough cardboard help keep this away from the cliché.
I really like how it turned out and how we got away from the ‘classic’ mountain scape used on mass-produced beers. I spent some time watching customers at a store this weekend. I saw many Bud Lite and Coors drinkers go right to where they knew their beer was, and then grab a Wind River Blonde Ale 4-pack out of curiosity. That to me is truly awesome and what I and the rest of the craft beer world want to achieve with our product.
