Coney Island Craft Lagers

Coney Island Craft Lagers

May 13, 2011 | Designed by Matt Polacheck

There’s no way you could walk by this mix pack and not leave the store with it under arm. It’s the kind of beer you want to drink and then hang on the wall.

This homage to the Coney Island amusement park is the creation of art director Matt Polacheck and Brooklyn-based tattoo artist Dave C. Wallin. Shmaltz Brewing (parent company of Coney Island Craft Lagers) donates some of the brand’s proceeds to the non-profit Coney Island USA, an organization working to preserve Coney Island’s unique culture.

The brand’s logo is a nod to the Tillie face from the Steeple Chase Park on Coney Island. They’ve certainly put their own spin on it, to say the absolute least.

  1. Those are pretty cool. The “Tillie” one kind of looks like Joker…

  2. I notice now, kind of heavy on the phallic imagery (on the last two), eh?

  3. I own all these brews and I honestly bought them 100% originally for their artwork.
