Kaluskie Exportowe

Kaluskie Exportowe

April 14, 2011 | Designed by Umbra

Due to the language gap, I wasn’t able to dig up too much information about this brewery. But, with the help of Google Translate, I gather that this is a rebrand attempting to revive a once-renowned beer made in Kalush, Ukraine since 1870.

Really lovely work by Umbra, certainly paying homage to the history of the brewery with this design work. The seal and handwritten specs are great details.

I’ve included a few extra images today, because you’re probably going to have a hard time finding this one in your local package store. Hopefully someone can track down the brewery’s website, I’d love to see more.

  1. The best Ukrainian beer IMHO

  2. Yes, it is the best ukrainian beer ! I can say it confidently.

  3. What is interesting is that 3 out of 4 bottles seem to be designed for Polish market. “Exportowe” is a rather old fashioned way to spell a Polisha adjective for export item. And each bottle is devoted to a differeny city (Moscow, Cracow, Lviv – formerly Polish Lwów and the one with fish which i’m not sure about due to poor quality of picture – handwritten Russian ;-). Funny thing is that I haven’t seen this beer in Poland. Time to go to Lviv 🙂
